• Complimentary Poetry Workshop (Online)                         : 2 October 2021 (Saturday) @ 10.00am

Greetings from Sunway International School and the Committee ofSunway National Poetry Slam^TM (SNaPS^TM) 2021!

 

We are pleased to invite your school to participate in the upcoming8^th SNaPS^TMcompetition.  The competition will run fromSeptember to November 2021 and the Grand Finale is on12 November 2021and it will be held ONLINE.

 

A Poetry Slam is a competition in which individuals and groups perform their own personal poetry before an audience.  The performance is conducted without music, props or costume, which is then evaluated by a panel of judges.

Here are some key points about the competition:

 

• Participation is FREE

   

• The Competition is open to all students 18 years old and below in Malaysia

   

• There are three categories:

   

• • Junior – Individual (15 years old and below as of 12 November 2021)

     

  • Senior – Individual (16 to 18 years old as of 12 November 2021)

     

  • Group (18 years and below), 2 – 4 students and can be a mixture of Junior and Senior participants

     

• The Competition consists of two rounds:

   

• • Online Video Submission – 22 September 2021

     

  • Grand Finale (Online) – 12 November 2021

     

• All registrations must be submitted through schools (teacher representative) and participants will receive an e-Certificate of Participation

   

• Each school must participate in at least TWO (2) categories for the registration to be valid

   

• Registered participants are eligible to attend a complimentary poetry workshop ONLINE on 25 September 2021
